(Est. 1997) and “Optima Group Spirits” Inc. (Est. 2001). Optima Group Inc. handles trade, logistics and distribution of chosen commodities, such as sugar and alcohol. Our long experience in the field and the knowledge of these markets enable us to provide the highest quality services to our customers. Optima Group resume includes partnership with some of the most respected banks and companies around the world in order to create pioneering joint ventures in international commodity trading.
Optima Group Tobacco Inc. Optima Group Tobacco Inc. was established in 1997 in New York, USA. The principal business of the company is the production of a private Brand Cigarettes in the United States, and its distribution worldwide. The creation of the “SENATOR” Brand cigarettes was formed in cooperation of “R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company ( R.J.R.)”, Winston Salem, NC, USA – the world’s leader of Cigarette & Tobacco Industry. “SENATOR” Brand was the first private brand project for this Trans National Corporation. Since 1997, a large number of International companies have partnered with Optima Group Tobacco in worldwide distribution of “SENATOR” Brand cigarettes, among them, TIMCORP Group, New Century Tobacco Group, and many more..
Optima Group Spirits Inc. Optima Group Spirits Inc.was established in 2001 in New York, U.S.A. The production and worldwide distribution of exclusive European Wines under Optima Group Spirits Inc's label is the primary venture of the company. Optima Group Spirits Inc. frequently partners with international conglomerates such as ED & F Man (GB), ALCOA (France) ADM (USA) McCormick (Canada), Silcompa (Italy) in alcohol distribution ventures. Optima Group Spirits Inc’s first Joint Venture Project was formed with the famous “International Wine Cellar” – the market’s dominant corporation. The most noteworthy brands of European wines are produced under the supervision of Optima Group Spirits Inc.

Michael Rothmans Jr. Chairman of Supervisory Board, CEO Michael Rothmans is a founder, CEO and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of OPTIMA GROUP, Inc. Mr. Rothmans is on the Advisory Board of Barclays Group US Inc., and sits on the Board of Directors of various Non-profit Foundations in the United States and UK. He began his career with Lambert Funds Management. Later he joined Smith Barney as an Investment Advisor from 1996 to 1998 and worked for Shearson Lehman Brothers from 1998 to 2001. Mr. Michael Rothmans received his BA in Economics from Harvard University where he was awarded the “Highest Achievement” scholarship. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. Mr. Michael Rothmans belongs to forth generation of famous Rothmans dynasty.
George Piliev Executive Vice President, COO George Piliev is a co-founder and the Vice President / COO of OPTIMA GROUP Inc., in charge of international trading for the company. Prior to OPTIMA GROUP, Mr. Piliev was the Executive Director of Mercury West AG, a private venture capital company. Mr. Piliev has over 15 years of on-the-ground experience of commodity trading in US, Europe, and Asia. He has an extensive background in spearheading innovative business and securing loyalty. George Piliev received his B.A. in Economics from Kharkov Institute of Economics and the National University of Georgia.
Michael Moshel Executive Director Michael Moshel is a COO and Executive Director of OPTIMA GROUP, Inc. Mr. Moshel has huge experience in commodity trading business. The company tries to use his experience in relationship with both, US and foreign companies He is supervising Optima’s special projects in the USA as well as in Europe. Mr. Michael Moshel’s personal involvement as project manager gives the company maximum chances for success.
Alex Godelman Executive Vice President, CFO Alex Godelman is a co-founder and the Managing Director of OPTIMA GROUP Inc. Mr. Godelman oversees and specializing in the US and West European markets at OPTIMA GROUP, as well as the completion of advisory transactions and fund investments. Prior to joining OPTIMA GROUP, Mr. Godelman was the Director of Analytics at Winston Securities firm. Mr. Godelman has over 16 years of experience in international M&A. Alex Godelman holds his B.A. from NYU Business School. In addition, Mr. Godelman has enjoyed a great success in sports. He played soccer for the Golden Era Team of “New York Cosmos”, next to the sport’s biggest stars, Pele, Carlos Alberto and Franz Beckenbauer.
Anna Moore Vice President, Treasurer Anne Moore is a Vice President and the Treasurer of OPTIMA GROUP Inc., where she handles Cash Management, Insurance, Credit and Foreign Currency for the company, domestically and internationally. Prior to joining OPTIMA GROUP, Mrs. Moore worked at a number of financial companies as a Director of International Finance, Assistant Treasurer, Assistant Controller and a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. She holds a B.A. in Economics from University of Chicago. Mrs. Moore has published articles in The Journal of Private Equity.
